Reflection

I've learned that not too many people in Georgia have heard of "Jamaican dialect". My new language beliefs is that not many people have heard of different language being used outside of Georgia. I would like to let people learn more about languages that haven't been heard before. Learning about this project has inspired to me and other students at Decatur High School. I learned how to let more people hear Jamaican dialect language which is something new to them. If i play Jamaican dialect on a tap there reaction will be? Jamaican dialect I've heard of that be for i just don't know what the language was call.

Recommendations

I need to let them hear Jamaican dialect before I ask them more survey questions.I will ask them better questions then before. I would let them hear It by audio clip. Maybe the next time a researcher can study more about how people with Jamaican dialect will affect there lives.

Conclusions

Not much people in Georgia have heard of jamaican dialect. If I could lean more bout this topic I will ask more question  from people who are from New York because they would of heard more  of Jamaican dialect.  I could of show a audio clip  to show more people who haven't heard of Jamaican  dialect before.

Interpetation of Data

My data shows that most people think New York speaks Jamaican dialect. My data surprise me because I wouldn't think people heard of "Jamaican dialect" in Georgia . The results are New York people speak Jamaican dialect more  then any other State in U.S. I believe its  true  from what I've learned, that more people speak Jamaican dialect in New York than any other state.

Secondary Research

The language most used is English but Jamaican creole is used a lot too. The vocabulary and grammar are from English, but some of its dialects come from vocabulary and phrasings from West African languages, Spanish, and sometimes French. Some of the languages character include saying the letter combination of th as if it was a d or t and taking out some initial consonant sounds. For some English-speaking visitors it is not smart to them to pronounce it that way. The Creole languages from Belize, Grenada, and St. Vincent are like the creole language of Jamaica.
